The Galhood x BPW: Building Belonging for Women in Early-to-Mid Careers Across Borders

To create accessible, community-driven professional development programming for women in early-to-mid careers across Canada.

DescriptionThe Galhood is a women's community founded by Parul Yadav, a Toronto-based first-generation immigrant and PR strategist, with active chapters in Toronto and expansion goals toward Dubai and India. The project delivers curated workshops, networking events, and mentorship-driven programming for women navigating early-to-mid career transitions with a particular focus on immigrant women, racialized professionals, and first-generation entrepreneurs who often lack access to traditional professional networks. Programming themes include solo travel and confidence building, freelancing and client acquisition, personal branding and visibility, and women's entrepreneurship. Events are designed to be intimate, accessible, and culturally inclusive, meeting women where they are rather than where institutions assume they should be. The Galhood bridges the gap between formal professional organizations and the informal community support women actually need to grow.
